DESIGN | Slovak radio building

One of the most discussed architectures in Bratislava – Slovak radio building in the shape of an inverted pyramid. The striking and challenging form aroused recognition, but also great resistance. Its unsuitability for radio operation (noise interference) has been criticized, although the main studios are located in a perfectly insulated base. Although it has aroused controversy, it cannot be denied generosity and cultivated architectural composition.

Realization: 1969 – 1984

Architects: Štefan Svetko, Štefan Ďurkovič, Barnabáš Kissling
